Finding My Way

For those who have followed me for some time, whether that was on Inkitt, Patreon, or some Discord connection, you know I have had a rough year personally.

In the span of just eight months I had surgery on my neck after losing use of my left arm; and dealt with the loss of two aunts, my godmother, and several close family friends. And an author I thought was a friend reported me for being a bully, and got me fired from a job I liked.

Individually, I could have handled each blow. All of it combined in rapid succession, however, was enough to kick me into the depths of spiraling depression and serious mental health crisis. I've tried scheduling my time, but couldn't stick to it. Finally, I stepped away from writing all together, but that just made me feel worse. Writing has always been my outlet and refuge, so losing that was just added insult to trauma.

Thankfully, I am fortunate to have an amazing GP, so she has helped get me sorted when modern medicine could help. Where it couldn't, my family stepped up and stopped in. First, my mom came to visit and joined us to celebrate a milestone for minion2. We visited more of this beautiful land I now call home, and enjoyed the time we had with her.

Then it was June and my best friend came to visit and pulled me completely out of my funk. She got me back on schedule, back to smiling, and out into the world. I won't talk about the ransomware fiasco called bitlocker encryption. We'll just say that everything I had on my computer was lost because of Microsoft. I've spent the month rebuilding the digital side of my business; from books to accounting, documentation to covers, everything was lost.

Now it's July and I am on a path to publishing. Here's what's going to market this year:

  • The Bonds Trilogy (Volumes I, II, III) eBooks found a new home on Yearn Media. The physical books will be out as a set in August, via the Great British Bookshop.

  • Blind Bride for the Wandering King (paperback) is also available via GBBS.

  • Bride for Minoan King will be out for purchase at the end of August.

  • And finally, the Gorgon Bride for the Fallen God and Ghost Bride for the King of Ukhu Pacha will be hitting the printshops in late November.

It may not seem like much but that will be seven books going to market in 2026 alone.

Wish me luck, and happy reading.
